Dr Canan Aksoy

Biography
Dr. Canan Aksoy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey. Her research focuses on superconductivity, materials science, and the development of superconducting materials and devices. She is particularly interested in exploring the applications of superconductivity in energy storage and transmission, as well as the development of high-performance superconducting joints. Dr. Aksoy has extensive experience conducting research at the University of Oxford, where she completed both her post-doctoral and doctoral studies. These collaborations have resulted in her expertise in various areas, including thin-film fabrication, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, and superconducting materials characterization.
Dr. Aksoy has over 89 publications in SCI, SSCI, and AHCI indexed journals and international conferences. She is the Head of Department and Deputy Director of the Career Development Application and Research Center at Karadeniz Technical University. Dr. Aksoy is also the Institutional Coordinator for the Farabi and Erasmus programs and a member of the European Society for Applied Superconductivity (ESAS) and the Institute of Physics (IOP).
