Oriol Fernández Serracanta

Biography

Oriol Fernández Serracanta has joined the applied superconductivity group of Strathclyde as a PhD student since January 2023. He has graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where he also graduated on the Master’s degree of Modelling for Science and Engineering for Complex Systems.

After that he worked at the Fusion Group of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center where he finished the development and validations of an Electromagnetic HPC code for Superconductors applied to Fusion reactors. Recently he has joined the Applied Superconductivity group in Strathclyde and will work on the multiphysics modelling of the superconducting magnets for Fusion reactors.
