Over the past year, ASL welcomed Hanxiao Guo from Lanzhou University, China as a visiting student researcher. During the placement, Hanxiao worked on the project “Quench Behavior of an Intact and Locally Damaged No-Insulation (NI) REBCO Coil”, focusing on the behaviour of superconducting REBCO coils under quench conditions.
The placement concluded with a presentation of the research outcomes to ASL staff and students. The project provided valuable contributions to the laboratory’s ongoing work in superconducting magnet technologies and strengthened international collaboration between ASL and partner institutions in China.
We thank Hanxiao for the dedication and contribution to the group and wish every success in future research activities.
