We were honored to welcome Prof. Fedor Gömöry to the Applied Superconductivity Laboratory for an academic exchange. Prof. Gömöry’s research focuses on the application of hard superconductors in electric power systems, particularly in relation to numerical simulation techniques for composite superconducting wires and optimization of wire architecture from the point of ac loss reduction.

During his visit, he generously shared insights from his decades of experience in superconductivity research, offering both technical depth and historical perspective. His discussions with our team were highly engaging and enlightening.

Most importantly, Prof. Gömöry provided invaluable advice to our PhD students, helping them refine their research questions and broaden their academic horizons. His visit was a great inspiration to our group, and we look forward to future collaboration.
