On March 21, Calvin C. T. Chow from Hong Kong University gave a talk at the local university on “Numerical modelling of superconducting tapes under arbitrary external field and transport current via integration method.” The speaker, who specializes in materials science and engineering, shared their expertise on the topic with a group of students and researchers who attended the talk.

During the presentation, the speaker discussed their research on how to model superconducting tapes under external field and transport current conditions using numerical integration methods. The talk was well-received by the audience, who were impressed by the speaker’s expertise in the field.

Following the talk, the speaker was given a tour of our lab facilities. The visit provided an opportunity for the speaker to see firsthand some of the research being conducted at the university and to engage with researchers and students.

Overall, the visit was a valuable opportunity for knowledge sharing and networking, and it is hoped that it will lead to further collaboration between the two institutions in the future.
